End of an era, and Yet the start of another, again!

It seems the economic impact of the Corona Pandemic finally made its presence known where I work. They had to layoff a fair portion of our workforce, after having kept us on through the pandemic, which they didn’t have to. They could have made the cuts a lot earlier, but they didn’t, which is considerate and impressive. While this kind of thing does happen regularly in our industry it is generally not due to a pandemic. Given this development, it is probably time to move on to other things. During the past few years I have had the opportunity to be the director of photography on a number of projects. In that time I have done several commercial and short film projects as well as music video projects. Many of them are listed here on my site under the Film / TV menu. I enjoyed working in this capacity on these projects, and given my past experiences and my penchant for photography I feel like this is the way to go.
